CIRCUS FUN FOR 50-up

50-up is a space for people over 50 to run away to the circus.

We are proudly a not-for-profit association whose mission is to inspire people 50 and beyond to age well and connect with others through circus arts

Get fit, stretch your body and your brain in fun new ways.

You can also perform at events, if that's where you'd like to spread your new found wings.

50-up is an innovative, creative, and experience-inspired project

Initially conceived by Mary Wyer (circus mum turned amateur static trapeze performer), 50-up  is now a registered not-for-profit organisation, that aims to build a community of people who support, collaborate and inspire each other to achieve what is often perceived as too challenging, too difficult or even impossible for older bodies.

Whether juggling, tumbling, trampoline, or aerial silks or trapeze, 50-up aims to create opportunities for older Australians to break down stereotypes and prove to the world (and themselves) that it's never too late to run away to the circus.

Sydney Trapeze School supports 50-up by providing workshops and term classes, as well as hosting our yearly showcase every July.
